Full Personality:  To anyone besides Don, Kirley and Myron he can be a very mean, hostile and snarky person. He doesn’t like to talk about his family and he hates people trying to play psychiatrist on him. He is a very complicated person and despite his harsh exterior he really is someone who really does just want someone to understand him and take the time to talk to him. 

Orsino could care two craps what anyone thinks and once he sets his mind on something there is no way he will change his mind.  Orsino can be a loud mouth and he does need his mates to smack sense into him because he has no idea when to shut up. He appears to be an arse and to most people he is but to those he trusts he is quite funny, caring and deadly loyal. He is very affectionate with his mates, male and female.  He never felt any love growing up and so he seeks it from anyone he can to try to make up for the empty hole in his heart.  So going by this, it would not be a surprise to know that Orsino is not a virgin.  He really is someone who just wants to be loved.  But since his examples of love have been so shitty, he has not held a relationship for any good period of time. 

Orsino has inherited his father’s anger problems which upset him and make him feel horrible even more. He suffers from depression and has picked up a smoking habit to deal with the stress he feels on a daily basis.  The one thing he will never do is drink because he sees what it has done to his father.  He really gets upset when anyone drinks around him so his mates know not to do that. 

Orsino has a hidden love of poetry and also of ancient Greek and Roman literature and mythology.  He also loves an adventure and loves a challenge. He will never back down from a dare. Orsino hates sitting still and can get bored and restless easily.  He has a hard time following the rules and has been to detention dozens of times.

Appearance:  Orsino is 5’10 inches and rather thin for his height, but that is because he spent the summer and hols from ages 11 and on out on the streets or staying with his muggle mates, so he never had much to eat. After all his years of not eating, he has developed a much diminished hunger urge. He only eats when his mates remind him he hasn’t eaten in a while.

He has hazel eyes and shaggy, messy dark brown hair. His hair looks like he just woke up. Orsino likes the shaggy, messy look and does not spend much time on taming it.  When not forced to wear the school uniforms, he can be seen in jean trousers, muggle and magical band tee shirts and his trusty leather jacket. His favourite tee shirt is his hobgoblin one. Lots of his clothes are tattered, have holes in them, look old. He likes it that way and it is not like he has money to buy new things anyways.

History: Orsino Jacob Thruston was born one snowy and blustery afternoon, February 13^th, 1972. His parents were Jacob and Melissa Thruston, both halfbloods.  His parents were not rich at all, but were not dirt poor they were decidedly middle class though sometimes dropped beneath a bit because of his father’s long time drinking and smoking habits.  As if this was not enough, when his father drank, he got quite a temper and would get abusive to not only him but to his mother. At a very young age he learned to lock himself away in his room when his father got too much. He would cry and scream when he would hear his mother crying for Jacob to stop. Orsino grew up to hate his father and he could not believe why his mother stayed with him. He hated how she put with him and how he always hurt her. Orsino knew his father was a good person when he was not drunk but it was the matter that he was drunk so often that angered him.

This caused him to grow into a very cynical and angry boy.  Not many people could get past his snarky and mean exterior. He did have a couple of friends and they were known as the bullies in their neighborhood. Orsino didn’t even realize he was slowly turning into his father, the person he hated with all his heart!

He was so glad that he got his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. He wanted to get out of his home more than anything else. He thought his mother was pathetic and if she was not going to listen to his pleas and leave then she deserved him. Once he left for Hogwarts, he never looked back.

Once at Hogwarts he was sorted into Slytherin. He had to deal with many people in his house making cruel remarks about his blood type, which angered him to no end. Not many people could get past his exterior. Orsino did try at school because his class work could let him concentrate on something besides how angry he was at the world.

It was not until his third year that he discovered music. He had a muggle mate who was in a local band with a few of his mates. He would go to some of their band practices and he just fell in love with the whole thing.  His mate was the drummer and he thought it would be fun to try it too. So the summer of his 3^rd year he got enough money to buy a drum kit. Starting his 4^th year he would do nothing but either do his class work or practice on the drums. 

Him playing the drums calmed his down since he could release his anger by playing as loud and hard as he could. It was in his third year he would make friends with two people that would in a few short years become a part of the most famous wizarding band. Those two people were Donaghan and Kirley.  In them he found two people who he could bond with and who shared his love of music. They became his best mates and they were attached at the hip.  In his fourth year he made friends with Myron and Heathcote, slowly the future Weird Sisters were coming together.   Since he did not have a loving family, they were his family. He did manage to make a few other friends besides them, but Don, Kirley, Myron and Heathcote were by far his closest friends and confidants.

His sixth year was spent getting more serious about his musician dreams. His four mates starting to toss around the idea of forming a band of some sort.  It was in the planning stages but, Orsino is all for that idea. He can not see himself doing any sort of ‘real’ job because he doesn’t think he is really good at much else besides the drums. His grades are passable, but not great by any means. Plus, he is determined to show his father that he is not a failure. He wants to shove it in his father's face when he is is rich and famous.

By the end of the beginning of his seventh year, he started thinking about dropping out of school. He made up his mind he wanted to take his musician aspirations more seriously, so he didn’t see why going to school was so important. He almost left three times but his mates always talked him out of it. He passed his NEWTS, not well mind you, but he did pass them.

Once he graduated, he and his mates turned their band into high gear. They worked hard on getting enough songs together for a record. After many months of hard work they got it finished. They started practicing and playing at small pubs and nightclubs around town. They slowly started getting a following and during the first year, started adding more band mates, until they finally got their final band line up. They are now starting to get famous and are on their first headlining tour. With the money coming in, he is just now starting anger management sessions and meeting with a shrink. He knows he has to do this, but the thought of talking to someone else about his past is not settling for him. He was quite forced by his band manager as an ultimatum. Either he went or he would be kicked out and that was not an option he would let happen.
